"Beautiful", a layout just because....!!!!!!

Hello my dear friends!!
It has been a loooong time since I made something just for fun! I went to a crop last Saturday with my crazy, Greek, SUPER talented, scrapbooking friends and had lots of creating fun!!!

Usually, when I go to crops, I always have a DT project to make BUT not this time as I am in no DTs anymore. I am taking a break ;). So, I found a nice sketch over at sketchabilities to play with and a lovely moodboard at Scrapmemory so here is the outcome....

"Flower girl" for Scrapbook Magazine.

Hello dear friends!
Here is another layout created for "Scrapbook Magazine" loaded with flowers as it has a Spring theme and of course I was inspired by this lovely photo of my daughter Ioli!!
Here is the small article...

"Hello from sunny Greece! I am lucky enough to live in Greece as it is sunny most of the year and spring comes very early! I always take advantage of the beautiful weather and go out on the fields for a good photo shooting! The conclusion is that my titles are always inspired by the photo and what it captures. In this case my inspiration was the flowers on the background. However, inspiration could also come if you captured an event, something that was said or done in the specific moment or even a feeling. After all, Scrapbooking is about capturing moments in time and telling the stories.  The photo was not only inspiring about the title but the colours too! I have used mainly yellow and green as the field was full of daisies!! Happy scrapping!"

"Flower girl"

Material list:
Papers:Prima and Creative Imaginations
Flowers, wooden elements, die cuts: Prima
Lolipop flower and trim: Green Tara
Letter stickers: American Crafts
Gesso white & black, modeling paste: 13arts
Stencil: The Crafter's workshop
Mists: Tattered Angels & Studio Calico

Tips:
-Use bottle caps to make circles on the background
-If the person in the photo is looking towards one direction, make your composition in such a way that it goes with the flow.
-try to expand the background of the photo like I did with the flowers
-Use white gesso on the edges of the photo and on the ebmellies to tone down the bright colours
-crumple the papers behind the photo for depth and texture.

Thanks for visiting!
Have a nice day!!
